Overall, I am somewhat satisfied with this boot. It has a few issues and inconsistencies, but it's difficult to complain for the price.

QUALITY:

Though the material is synthetic, it doesn't look cheap.

There is a strap in the back that is designed to cover the top of the heel. This strap is adjustable (three choices), which is a nice feature. However, for the pair I got, that strap on one boot is more than an inch longer than on the other boot. If I have both the straps on the shortest length setting, one just covers the top of the heel, and the other dangles about two thirds of the way down the heel. This is a glaring issue that I would have probably exchanged the boot for if I had noticed it before wearing them.

FIT:

I usually wear a size 6.5 in boots and in rare cases need to go up to a 7. I ordered this boot in 6.5. As of the time I read the other reviews, there was no mention of others having this issue, but I felt that my pair ran an least a half size to long in the foot. I would have exchanged for a 6 if there were any left. Perhaps I got a bad pair, or this is just due to the style of the boot.

Since the measurements may be size-specific, I'll include measurements from my pair of 6.5's:
- Calf-circumference (widest part, at the top): 14.5"
- Heel height (highest point, in the back): 3.75
- Shaft-height (measured from top of the heel of the boot to top of its shaft): 13"

In case it's relevant for anyone: I am 5'0" and have 11.25" calves, so it is extremely difficult to find a pair of boots that fits. How I handle this boot is, since the zipper is only a partial zipper, I fold over the top of the boot inward about 1.5", so that it is the right height for me. My calves, however, are still swimming in this boot, but I have come to accept this as an inevitability.

LOOKS:

The toe of the boot looks very long, almost witch-shoe-like. This is despite the fact that though the toe is actually more rounded than pointed, so it looks very awkward in my opinion, like the boot is two sizes too big.

I ordered this boot in the wine color. I think the photo is an accurate representation. It is a very dark, brick red. Some "wine" colored boots have a hint of a purplish burgundy hue, but this is not one of them. The red is a dark, brownish red.
