I bought these boots to wear in S FL around the yard landscaping after the soles fell off my old boots.I was looking for this type of construction on a new boot to avoid the issues I had with the construction style of the old boots. When worn with thin socks (remember this is south FL) , the fit is somewhat loose, and I wear a 12.5 shoe but ordered a 12 boot. I'd think that with a thicker/wool sock the fit would be closer.
The padded tongue is nice, the comfort is there, and the steel toe is an added bonus. Overall I'm happy with them, hope they last.
