I took a long time off from running due to chronic calf problems, but about 4 years ago I started up again and did the whole "born to run" minimalist thing. It worked for me (maybe helped with bad form?). However, the past 6 months I have really turned up my mileage while using the legs for commuting and building for a half marathon. I believe we were born to run but my legs are just so beat up I need a change.

I remember how funny I walked after that half! It was a trail run and I had done too much flat and so the hills did their thing on my legs. I put on a very comfortable pair of Luna sandals but I sure wish I had had these instead. They just feel great!!

I hesitate to write a review because I don't know how to intelligently explain their function eg., why not just wear comfortable running shoes instead of these? I am rotating my gear: mizuno, brooks, vibram, and salomon, depending upon the terrain and how I feel that day, but in between I wear these Rx as much as possible. I love them!!

My wife saw them and said they look like clowns shoes, and I guess she is right. I feel a little self conscious unless I am in running shorts. But like I said, they feel great!! and help my tired feet and hips, and ultimately my running, so I wear them often.
