I've had my sandals now for 4 months and I am as happy with them as I could be. Sandals are generally a problem for me as I wear orthotics in my shoes. The memory foam morphs to take the shape of my foot, with the degree of support increasing over time. I also have a problem with my "baby" toe when wearing strappy sandals as it ends up sticking out. These sandals have a good number of well placed straps that keep my toe in place. In addition, the snugness of the straps can be adjusted for a perfect fit as your feet swell in the heat. While I usually wear a size 7 I needed a 7.5 because my "big" toe is not my longest, my middle toe is. The shape of the front of the sandal follows the natural shape of most folk's toes and so, with a size 7 my middle toe hung off a bit. Unfortunately, these sandals come only in black and metallic. I wrote to the company to see if they had plans for more colors next year. An off white, beige or tan would we welcome. They have no plans. I am thinking of buying another pair now just in case they pull the plug on this style.

Edited Oct. 8, 2013: Last month I took a good look at the wear on the soles of my sandals. They had worn down to the cork. This is after only 4 months during which they were NOT the only shoe I wore. They were among 2 other pairs of sandals, a pair of sneakers and Mary Janes. I contacted Aetrix, but they only cover shoes bought on their web site. I went to the Walking Company, where I purchased them and they were willing to give me a new pair BUT they stopped carrying Aetrix--no reason was provided. They offered to credit me with the amount spent to be put toward another pair of shoes in their store. I declined and went to my shoemaker. He said the material of the soles is too soft. It will cost me $15.00-$20.00 to repair them, but I love them and am going to do it. Factor this in when you make your decision.
