I bought my Roma boots about a month ago. I was drawn to the company because of its 1 for 1 model - they give a pair of boots to a child in need for every pair purchased. I am a huge supporter and lover of Toms shoes as well and have purchased a good 5 or 6 pairs over the past 3 years. However, I have owned my Roma boots for about a month now and ALREADY the sole has cracked and they no longer serve a purpose. Now the bottom of my left boot is permanently wet, ALL THE TIME.

I went to their website to see if they have a customer service number but I cannot find one (they only have a number to call regarding press) and their FAQs say that they do not accept returns and will only exchange unworn boots. So now that I am down almost $80 for a product that I simply CANNOT USE, I have no boots to wear in the rainy Portland climate.

As a current AmeriCorps member I am someone who believes in service deeply and was excited to support a company that seems to value service as well. However, I cannot support a company that produces a cheap and useless rain boot. This purchase was a big one for me and I assumed if I'm spending $80 on something it was going to last me at least a full year. Now I cannot afford another pair and I am just extremely disappointed that this company is not selling a product worth buying despite its charitable benefit.

Just be aware if you buy a pair they may not last long and there is no customer service number and they do not seem to accept returns/exchanges on used boots.
