Cushe Kakui Ballet Flats are my first non-running/training shoe purchase in some time.

I waited until I have worn them for at least two weeks before reviewing. These are leather shoes and they do take some time to break in. As other reviewers pointed out, there will be a few hot spots when you first wear them - mine was pinky toes and heels.

The pinky toe pain has now gone as the shoe has stretched to match my foot, but those little tabs on the heels are pretty much the devil.

I can really only tolerate wearing these with socks. As an avid runner I'm certainly used to wearing-in shoes and developing the necessary callouses to combat those hot spots. However, those tabs and my heel seem destined to be enemies.

As for quality, these are really nicely constructed shoes. They look great, have a unique style, and the textured/pattered ribbon on the top flows into the side tassel functioning as a tightening/loosening feature (which is important to note as I was fully prepared to cut the tassels off upon arrival).

The flats also feature nice padding on the inside and decent support.

Final note - these run LARGE. I suggest getting a full size smaller than your normal size.

All in all a pretty, high quality flat, with only mild discomfort.. .but hey...us women are used to torturing our feet for fashion anyway....
