I bought my first pair of these shoes a year ago. Originally, I bought them for a couple reasons. First, stores generally don't carry shoes in my size. I have wide feet, high arches and need support. Secondly, I take medication that causes foot pain when my feet are stiff. The pain subsides when I am active. My podiatrist and chiropractor both recommended sensible shoes that tie. These shoes are the answer. My orthopedics fit into them perfectly. Putting on these shoes is such a relief! They have terrific arch support and I can walk for miles and completely forget about my feet. Plus, they look nice enough to wear to work.

My first pair of these shoes are now worn slightly on the soles because I walk so much in them. The leather still looks great and they shine up nicely. The insides of the shoes don't appear worn at all, although I do need to replace my orthopedics. Not sure if the shoes can be re-soled. I haven't checked. However, they're so comfortable I started wearing them as we're remodeling our house instead of my tennis shoes. Now, my first pair have paint all over them and I can't wear them to work anymore. I'm buying a second pair.
