I purchased these shoes at a brick and mortar store - I was looking for MBT's. Apparently, MBT's have left the US marketplace due to the plethora of rocker sole shoe knockoffs offering lower price points. Anyhow, Joya has been born out of the original MBT label - as one of it's original designers has formed this new company - Joya. On trying the Aida-- the pros: I could not even describe how soft and cushiony the outer sole was . . . heavenly (much better than the MBT)! There is lots of room in the toe box, they lace up nice and comfy; and I must say, that the outer sole comfort level is beautiful. The instep is deep enough for those with a higher arch ( bought half a size up, and inserted an orthortic). The cons: There is no insole to remove - so it's tricky to insert any type of additional support; The boat style shoe makes for a wider heel, which can be brought in a bit tighter with tongue cushions. All in all, these excellent shoes for plantar fascia woes. I highly recommend them - and remember, you're getting one of the original designers from MBT. I would have given them 5 stars, had they had an insole, in which to tuck in arch/metatarsal supports. They are very stylish, a beautiful color, and don't look clunky at all. The $129. price is terrific value. Buy.
