I've been through so many different types of these relatively cheap office/dress shoes. Some smell like a tire factory and some never break in properly. These Bostonians have been perfect for my needs so far.

This is my second pair of this shoe, and I went with the same model because the first pair lasted a lot longer than usual for me. I weigh north of 225lbs, so my soles tend to wear out in 9 months, and my shoes wear crooked, so they get very uncomfortable after a while. So, much to my delight that these rocked a solid year and a half of daily wear to work (office setting). These can be polished up quickly for a more formal setting, and they they're comfortable enough if are on your feet for an extended period of time. Break-in is quick....I'd say that one day in them will do it.
